Backgammon Board
This Arabian themed backgammon board is make from 8/4 or 2" thick pieces of Red Oak. The players pieces cut from Ipe and Maple. The Greek word for this game is Baec Gamon. The origins of backgammon are found in Sumeria at the city of Ur. During the Crusades, Knights below a certain rank were prohibited from playing backgammon. Nero played for huge money and Caligula was a consumate cheater at this game.




SCISSOR CHAIR
This scissor chair was inspired by Dominican Monk Girolamo Savonarola from his work from the fifteenth century. Drawn in AutoCAD the body is made from 3/4" plywood, the arms and feet are poplar and the carving on the back is mahogany.
